Teachers at Studio 149: At Studio 149, we pride ourselves in Dance Education, which means that we strive to keep our volunteer instructors, student assistants, and student helpers educated on all aspects of the genre/style they are responsible for. At Studio 149, we all agree that Classical Ballet Training and Technique is essential for every student, regardless if they want to be a ballet dancer. Every talented tap or jazz student uses technical positions and skills that derive from ballet. All of our teaching staff has obtained years of dance training; In addition, they have each gone through years of instruction with our Founder, Mrs. Graf. This includes observing, assisting Mrs. Graf, and shadowing our teachers, who have the experience necessary. Each teacher is evaluated on a quarterly basis and is overseen by the director. Student Volunteer Teachers and Assistants |
follow strict guidelines within their syllabus, choreography, music selection and class instruction to ensure that every student is learning in a Christian, creative, healthy, safe and fun environment, so that their love for dance can mature. We encourage all of our teachers to continue their dance education by taking classes, attending teacher trainings, performing, and being well read on the most updated information regarding technique, correction, placement and choreography. What sets us a part from the majority of dance facilties, is that we come to Studio 149 with a deep passion for artistry that is first God pleasing, age appropriate, and family safe. We care about our students instruction, health, personal growth, and most importantly, we teach each student as a unique child of God who possesses individual gifts and talents. We strive to bring to the spot light their special gifts in the art of dance, so that they may share their love for this awe-inspiring art form, and in that, shine their light for Christ. |
